Jesus said, "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a
needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God."
How can we interpret this statement?
Pope Francis, the constant promoter of care for the poor, had this
to say when visiting America in 2015: “business is a noble vocation,
directed to producing wealth and improving our world,” especially if “it
sees the creation of jobs as an essential part of its service to the
common good.”
What does being "rich" mean as a Catholic? Can you be a successful
businessperson and remain true to your Catholic principles? Join us for a
discussion of these questions and more at Dominican University College February 9th at 7 pm, in Albert the Great Hall.
